Elvex gelpods are easier to insert than an ear plug, and since it is kept in place by the headband force, it does not have to be as deeply inserted. The pods are made from a unique composite three times as soft as the softest reusable silicone ear plug. These pods have extraordinary sound reduction properties in the low and high frequencies. This product is tested to ANSI S3.19-1974 and EN-352-2, and the attenuation in the speech frequencies is flat in order to allow speech communication in noisy environments. These GelPods, Banded Ear Pods, are 18dB NRR, 22dB SNR.
