Elvex CoolGuard ear muffs are based on the same concept that the BrushGuard is based, but instead of nylon, these muffs come with a Lexan face shield. This faceshield meets the impact and penetration requirements of ANSI Z87.1-1989. The CoolGuard is a more lightweight solution than a combination of an earmuff with separate headgear with a face shield. This ear and face protection is recommended for environments where both hearing and face protection is required to be used.
